Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Born in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. Her name can also be stylized in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. Half the World Away - by Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two notable covers that the singer has created. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry promoted her song Runaway. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding a grand piano that was in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see the possibilities it offered. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to pursue music for the sake of personal development, and not to earn money or to pursue as a hobby. She began writing her own songs. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with an appreciation for the style of Bjork. After her mother said that the songs she composed were not meant to be famous for her, rather to help individuals to recognize the importance of their work and influence to our world at large, she began singing them in public. She began playing the piano at the age of six, and began making music when she was 9 years old. Her family didn't know until the age of 14. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. According to her, she enjoys writing songs. She claims that music is her preferred method of feeling something.
